The Elements of Fold Style in Soltan Anticline, Northeast of Pol - e Dokhtar

Soltan anticline is a WNW-ESE trending anticline in Central Lorestan structural zone in Zagros simple fold belt. This area is covered by Asmari & Gachsaran formations and Quaternary deposites. Therefore, abnormally cropping out of Ilam ad Sarvak formations in west part of this anticlinal core, cause that Soltan Anticline has been considered as a water reservoir for Pole - e Dokhtar town. We have Analized mode of folding and elements of fold style in west and East Part of Soltan Anticline. According to this, uplifting of west part and cropping out of Ilam and Sarvak formations and changing the fold style are due to Ramping a thrust in west part of Anticline. In addition, seismic and morphological evidences are showed that Soltan Anticline is an active anticline
