Reviews A Review of the Poetry of Qeysar Aminpur

This paper presents an analysis of the form and content of the poetry of Qeysar Aminpur, showing through examples the thoughts of the poet, and the dominant themes and the stylistic characteristics of his poetry. The writer argues that the poetʹs turning away from romanticism in his early years to realism in his later years has resulted in the gradual disappearance from Aminpurʹs poetry of the signs of idealism, subjectivism, and escape from the urban life and return to the village, etc. This, the writer concludes, indicates that the poet has gradually come to terms with the realities of life. The writer also touches upon the poetʹs use of humor as one of the inseparable characteristic of his poetry. This paper only deals with the poetry of Aminpur, leaving untouched the many other facets of his personality.
