The study of upper Cretaceous micro biostratigraphy in the Kerman areas

In order to identification of stratigraphic succession,microfossils,microfacies and sedimentary environment of Kerman area,five stratigraphic sections were select- < ed and studied.This stratigraphic sections are located around the Kerman town from northeast to northwest which are as follows: 1-South of Kuhpayeh stratigraphic section.2-East of Sarasiab-e-shesh strati­graphic section.3-Ahmaq kuh stratigraphic section.4-Dareh Asbi syncline strati­graphic section(kuh-e-badamu).5-Anbaluiyeh stratigraphic section. In the mentioned 1 and 2 sections,upper Cretaceous deposites overly the lower Cretaceous with disconformity, but in the other sections lower Cretaceous deposites are not cropped out.In the Dareh Asbi syncline ,Cenomanian sediments overly the Jurassic Hojedk Formation with disconformity.In Ahmagh kuh strati­graphic sectionsantonian sediments cover a horizon of basaltic rocks(Lower Cretaceous?).On the top of south of Kuhpayeh and east of Sarasiab sections exist the Kerman conglomerate formation. In the south of Kuhpayeh contact of upper Cretaceous sediments and Kerman conglomerate is continued,but in the east of Sarasiab this contact is faulted, in the other sections top is erosional and contain local high lands.
