Examining Simple and Multiple Relationships of Religious Attitude, Optimism and Attachment Styles with Marital Satisfaction in Male Married Students at Shahid Chamran University

The present research was conducted to study simple and multiple relationships of religious attitude, optimism and attachment styles with marital satisfaction in male married students in Shahid Chamran University. The population of this study included all of the married students of Shahid Chamran University. The sample of this study consisted of 212 male married students that were selected by simple random sampling. The instruments used in this study were: 1. Moslem Religiousness Inventory, 2. Attributional Styles Questionnaire (ASQ), 3. Adult Attachment Styles Questionnaire, 4. Marital Satisfaction (Enrich). Simple and multiple correlations were used to analyze the data. The results indicate that the religious attitude, its subscales, optimism and attachmant styles have significant positive correlations with marital satisfaction. Also, Religious attitude, optimism and attachment styles are best predictors of marital satisfaction.
