Confronting natural disaster, many people regard ihem as destined faie. from which there is no escape. From this viewpoint what is destined would take place and therefore we should yield to fate. Meanwhile, the mean s role, ability and determination is practically denied. This viewpoint result in not beliving in rationalism, futurism, reduction of participation and increase of the spirit of passivity , lack of planning and consequently unpreparedness for confrontation. The main purpose of the present research is examine the rate of people of BanVs inclination towards fatalism. In addition, the relation between some social parameters and the rate of inclination towards fatalism has been taken into account.220 persons have been selected as samples using random systematic approach. This research has been carried out following social survey procedures and the technique of research is questionnarie and interview. Having collected the questionnaries, their data were analyzed by SPSS software. Independent samples T- test and One-way ANOVA have been used to lest the hypotheses in proportion to the level of variables. According to research findings 18% of respondents were thoroughly fatalists and 3% of them were totally rationalists. Meanwhile, 56% of them believed in fatalism and 23% of them believed in rationalism to some extent. On the one hand, research findings indicate that there is a relationship between fatalism and variables of one s religion awareness, importance of religion in life, religious experience, feeling of social equality, social alienation, feeling the need for guardianship, conception of autority, structure in family, education, parentsʹ education, the rate of per capita income and occupation status. On the other hand, there werenʹt seen any relations between fatalism and oneʹs marital status, sex. religious beliefs and behavior and cercmonies. occupation, life environment and feeling of social security, finally, the results of multiple regression indicated that the most influential variables affecting fatalism: onsʹc conception of autority structure in society, social alienation, feeling the need for guardianship, education, authority structure in family, accupation status and importance of religion in life.
