A Tale; Four Traditions (Hosn-o del, Dastour-e Oshshaq, Sab ras, Parboudh Chandroudi)

There are a numerous works in the field of comparative literature which have always drawn the attention of literary reviewers and scholars of comparative literature. Among such literary works, four famous books: Hosn-o del and Dastour-e Oshshaq by Sibak Nishapouri, Sab ras by Vajhi, and Parboudh Chandroudi by Krishna Misra are remarkable. The examination of these works shows a great deal of similarities among them. Furthermore, the evidence and testimonies indicate that the first three works (Hosn-o del, Dastour-e Oshsuhaq, and Sab ras) were influenced by Krishna Misraʹs Parboudh Chandroudi which was compiled in Sanskrit. Attempts have been made in present article to make some brief comparisons between four traditions of same tale in Sanskrit, Urdu, and Persian literatures, and to, demonstrate how the latter works took influence of the authentic Sanskrit drama, namely Parboudh Chandroudi
