    Future development of aerospace industry will be related to development of new materials. These materials must supply the new industrial necessity. Titanium aluminide compounds as an important class of new materials, have a distinguished role in lighting, efficiency and speed increasing in aerospace devices. Industrial usage of these materials is related to development of effective production technologies. An important group of these production routes are melting technologies or ingot metallurgy routes. In these paper,general technologies for production of titanium aluminide compounds are introduce and ingot metallurgy specially is investigated. Aluminium evaporation problem during melting that is a general challenge in production of titanium aluminide compounds is studied in detail. Undoubtedly, more development of these compounds and their applications is related to solving of present production limits and also some limits in their mechanical properties in room temperature.
