The glorious chapter of Josef has been studied and researched carefully, mostly based on the seven-stage theory of Attar Neishabouri with regards to gnostic traversing and compromising. The seeker and the hero of these stages is Josef who gets out of a well in nature and traverses toward the divine throne.
