Research has been shown religiosity is a complex phenomenon and contains a variety of behaviors, and attitudes. Religiosity is considered as a multi -dimensional phenomenon by Muslim scholars. One of the major in shortcoming studying religiosity is lack of a valid and reliable instrument for measuring religious attitudes. The main goal of the current study was developing and preparing a scale for measuring religiosity. Toward accomplishment of this end a random selection of 2182 college students IRAN, undergraduate and graduate ones from universities in Tehran, were recruited through stratified sampling method. The scale was developed in four stages. The results indicated the scale has a proper criterion, construct and differential validity. The Cronbachʹs alpha coefficient of the scale also was measured. The results indicated religiosity is a complex and multidimensional construct including cognitive, affective/emotional, behavioral dimensions and involving relations of a person with Allah, other people, self, and universe. The result is concurred with International and national research results in the field of religiosity.
