چكيده لاتين :
Changes in fiscal policies bring about different reactions in different groupings of people. These reactions could depend on the socio-economic status of these groupings. Utilizing Engleʹs Function, households in Iranian cities are grouped into five categories in terms of their similarity in spending patterns in education. Comparisons of the five groupings yielded the following: All categories consider education as necessary. The middle category has the highest demand for education while those with highest income have the least sensitivity to changes in expenditures. Factors such as having computer at home, living in provinces with more efficient schools, number of family members having high school and higher degrees, and the number of family members attending school impact the householdsʹ educational expenditure positively. Gender has different effect on such expenditures across categories.
