Operational Effectiveness of Strategy: The Introduction of an Hybrid Approach

The present article has aimed to investigate the challenge an organization may encounter while operationalizing the strategic goals and plans of its senior level. It will introduce the simultaneous application of Balanced Score Card and Hoshin Kanri the well-reputed approaches which global companies have recently paid attention to as a response to the challenge. Balanced Score Card is a worthwhile approach toward breaking visions into strategic goals. Moreover, Hoshin Kanri is utilized as an implementing and executing system. In order to understand the elements of this hybrid approach, a new model of strategic management process is delineated. In this regard, the importance of coordination among approaches and work divisions of the organization and consequently the necessity of cross-functional management are highlighted.
