The Rivalry of Great Powers in Central Asia: a Comparative Study of the Role of China and the EU

The political and security position of Central Asia and the Caucasus in international system has given the regional countries an increasing role in international politics. The central Asia is of great importance for players like China and the EU economically and for energy resources. This region enjoying a great deal of resources especially oil and gas has attracted players having an ever increasing need to energy resources. The present article is aimed at analyzing the leverages, aims and challenges facing China and the EU in the region.
