Prediciting over taking rate in out city two line roads regarding traffic capacity

One of the currant driving exercises in out city two line roads is over taking. This exercise begins with the enterance of vehicles to the movement opposite band and continues with over taking and ends with returning to the first band. The need to conduct over taking exercise is diagnosed by the drivers and conducting this traffic conditions exercise at the two sides of the road are very important at the time of over taking. Due to the existence of dangers, while conducting this exercise and due to the present limitations in the track, just few drivers can over take. Investigating the effect of traffic capacity on over taking rate and presenting a mathematical model with the help of line regression for predicting accident rate are the main purposes of this research. On the other hand, the presence of heavy vehicles as slow moving vehicles is another reason for over taking. The effect of this factor on over taking was also examined. To compile information and over taking, we should take the real road conditions into consideration. From different methods of field information, photography was selected. Analysis showed that, there is a direct relation ship between the capacity and over taking rate, with increasing the capacity, over taking rate will also increase. On the other hand, it became apparent that traffic capacity against the direction can affect the over taking rate. So with increasing capacity first, over taking goes up then, decreases.
