Developing Appropriate Strategies for the Co- management Natural Resources: Field Force Analysis of Issues and Problems of Natural Resources

The Purpose of conducting this study was to develop appropriate strategies for the co-management of natural resources in Razavar sub-basin which is an important part of the Karkheh watershed. To this end, field force analysis was used as a theoretical framework and tested by a participatory appraisal of natural resource methodology. In this research surveying, problem solving, ranking and mapping, brainstorming and discussion group techniques ware all used Results showed that the most important problems were flood, deforestation, overgrazing, drought and the transfer of grassland to agricultural fields. The best solutions to confront these problems were identified as including: Strengthening the watershed cooperative society, establishing conflict solution consultation in the local community to prevent the destruction of natural resources within the framework of an ʹintegratedʹ approach towards the natural resource management for Razavar sub-basin.
