1. Assessment of Iranian Insurance Companies Preparation for Data Warehousing Implementation Case Study in Parsian Insurance Company

The concept of data warehousing is firstly introduced in computer science and then in business in the middle of 90ʹs decade. It shortly attracted the attention of most industries all over the world, because of its deep effects on organizations. Insurance industry is one of the industries which can be changed by this concept. Unfortunately, these concepts remained obsolete in our county and there was less attention to this concept, comparing with other concepts in business intelligence. The reason behind this, is lack of studies in this field in our country. The current study is based on the assessment of data warehousing in insurance companies. The definition of data warehousing and its practice in insurance industry have been investigated and we scrutinize its usage in insurance industry. Then, the model which is used for assessment of implementation preparation is introduced and the results obtained in studied organization (Parsian Insurance Company) are presented.
