Methanol to Olefins (MTO) is a process in which methanol converts to light olefin materials such as ethylene, propylene and butene. MTO has recently attracted more industrial attention. This is because light olefins are the basic source for petrochemical plants and also the limitation of feedstock which depends on crude oil and fossil sources. In this paper, Modeling and simulation of MTO process in an industrial fluidized bed reactor in riser regime is accomplished and the results are compared to those of UOP company. In addition, the effect of variation of different operational parameters on feed conversion and the yield of the final products is studied.
