Diversity Arrays Technology (DArT): A novel tool for efficient exploitation of crop gene pool

Diversity Arrays Technology is a solid state and novel tool for harnessing crop gene pool to understand distribution of genetic diversity within and among populations and efficient management of germplasm collections and breeding programs. DArT is a microarray hybridization based genetic marker and can assay thousands of genomic loci in parallel and simultaneously to detect high throughput and low cost polymorphic markers throughout the genomes. Poly morph DArTs could be tracked and assembled as polymorphism enriched arrays for use in subsequent molecular mapping and breeding researches of relative species.
