The Relationship between Conflict Management and perceived Effectiveness in physical Education Colleges in Tehran

The aim of this study is to investigate of the relationship between faculty memberʹs conflict management and perceived effectiveness in physical education colleges in TEHRAN. The research method is descriptive and it is a type of correlation. Target population included total faculty members of physical education colleges in TEHRAN and sample research is equal with population research, and it is 80 people. The research instrument has been two questionnaires: conflict management questionnaire and effectiveness questionnaire that calculated validity of thornbackʹs Alpha coefficient method. It also used data analyses of descriptive statistic methods and inferential statistic (k-s test, leaven test, Pearson correlation coefficient, ANOVA test). The results showed that positive and significant relationship between conflict management, solution-oriented strategy, no encounter strategy and negative and significant relationship between control strategy with perceived effectiveness in physical education colleges in TEHRAN (P<0/01). There is significant difference between conflict management in physical education and sport science colleges in TEHRAN (P< 0/01). in stating the results of this study, it can be said that, view of reaction conflict theory that high and low levels of conflict are undesirable, there is a relationship between the medium level of conflict of members of the academic board and the increase in the perceived effectiveness of physical education colleges. In otherwords, very high and very low conflicts decrease the effectiveness of mentioned colleges. Also, in other to increase the perceived effectiveness of colleges of physical education, it is necessary for the managers of the colleges to modify the control strategy of academic board members toward solution-oriented and no encountering strategies. Meanwhile analyze variance showed that there is a significant difference between the colleges of physical education concerning the factor of conflict management which show that some of the colleges note to this factor.
