Investigation of Existing Status of Hazardous Wastes Management in Central Campus of Tehran University Medical Sciences, Iran

Backgrounds and Objectives: Due to having features such as toxicity, corrosiveness, ignitability, reactivity or other similar characteristics, hazardous wastes refer to the wastes that jeopardize manʹs health and environment. A study was required to identify the hazardous wastes in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), since it plays an important role in the development of the countryʹs education. The objective of this research was to provide a review of hazardous wastes production and its management at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
