The Effect of Quality Control and Quality Assurance on Efficiency Of Pavement Projects

Damages (e.g cracks, pot holes and ...) are one of the most important problems jj that reduce serviceability and age of HMA pavement. Possible ways for preventing | pavement damages are divided in to tow categories; prevention and maintenance ways. \ Quality control and quality assurance are the processes would be used in prevention < Ways. Quality control and quality assurance process contains three components that are: f inspection, sampling and testing. In this paper, maintenance ways and prevention ways are compared with each others. First, Emamat highway in Torbat Heydariye HMA pavement conditions has been evaluated and numbered whit PASER system for case study. By this study, the causes of damages have been recognized so, some maintenance solutions have been proposed.
