THE FACTORS AFFECTING THE NEED FOR HOUSING WITH THE EMPHSIS ON THE CHANGES OF FAMILLY FORM AND STAGES OF LIFE CYCLES IN NEYRIZ CITY

The main purpose of this study is "to examine factors affecting the need for housing with emphasis on the changes of the family form and stages of the life cycles. The method used is survey method, and interview. The statistical society of the study is the households residing in Neyriz city in the year 1386 (2007), consisting of 11512 households. The study is theoretically based up on the views of evolutionists who believe in the historical change of the family, and also the school of functionalists, like Parsonz who believes in the change of family from the extended to nuclear family and Rin watter, Abrams, Pale and Sand rose views on housing. Kokeran 380 formula is used. The sampling method used is multiple stage cluster sampling. Information analysis is conducted by SPSS soft ware and through descriptive and inferential statistics. Finding indicates that there are meaningful relations between changes of family form, stages of life cycles, economic situation, and types of the jobs of family head, social rank and need of house.
