Investigate of Characteristics, Dimensions and Establish Causes of Hometown Associations (Case Study; Daryan Village)

In this article an attempt is made to demonstrate the role of Daryan Hometown Associations in various aspects of development in Daryan village. The method applied for this study is based on qualitative research using focus groups and in depth interviews and observation. The results of research show that the folkways and traditional rituals are the main reason for creating such associations. Rituals, ceremonies and supportive factors are other issues that can be considered influential in this respect. The Hometown Association has the crucial supportive role in the development activities. This association has supported the village financially from other places such as small & bigcities, in order to rebuild Daryaniʹs home village in different aspects such as socio-economical and cultural dimensions of the development.
