The aim of the present research is to attempt to explain organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) regards to personality, organizational commitment (OC) and job satisfaction (JS) among staff in the University of Tehran. Jn this study 213 participants were selected to form the statistical samples. Results show that: 1- OCB, Dimension of personality, JS and OC of staff are above average. This was particularly so for the dimension of extraversion, agreeableness, constiousness and openness. However, participants also scored high on neuroticism. 2- Results of Pearson correlation show that OCB has a positive relation with job satisfaction and its subscales (nature of job, identification, achievement and responsibility), OC and its components (affective commitment and normative commitment) and personality dimensions (agreeableness, constiousness, openness, and extraversion). But the relation between neuroticism and OCB is negative. 3- Regression analysis shows that responsibility, affective commitment, constiousness, agreeableness and openness have predicted OCB.
