Seismic Behavior of Steel Frames Strengthened by R/C Jackets

In this research, the steel frames are jacketed by R/C jackets and their seismic behaviors are studied. For this purpose, a series of 4, 8 and 16 story 2D frames are selected and analyzed static and dynamic analyses are carried out. According to the conclusion, both strength and ductility levels are enhanced. The procedure and modeling of sections as well as the detailed results are presented in this paper.
