The preface of Bert Fragner in the Repertory of Published Persian Royal Documents

The present paper is the translation of the preface of Professor Bert Fragner in The Repertory of Published Persian Royal Documents that includes Persian records published up to 1848. This preface, which comprehensively reviews the studies of researchers and orientalists on Persian records and documents, has been translated into various languages. Therefore, translating it into Persian can be a positive step toward improving the knowledge of Iranian researchers about the archival studies carried out around the world on Persian records and decrees. Professor Bert Fragner used to teach Iranian studies at the universities of Berlin and Bamberg in Germany, and is one of the founders of the Institute of Iranian Studies in Vienna (Austria). Furthermore, he is fluent in many European and eastern languages.
