A comparative study of international bibliographic and archival standards

This article briefly reviews and describes international standards of description in two fields of bibliography and archives. During recent decades, archives have adopted library standards. But now the International Council on Archives, in cooperation with the Library of Congress and other archival experts has taken steps to prepare archival standards. In the following paper, after comparing bibliographic and archival standards and rules, each are described.
