A look at forgery of records in Iran and methods to prevent it

Forgery of records and documents is one of the major crimes which cause lack of public trust and disorder in the economic system of a country. This crime is also considered an important Cause of social inefficiency in society. Considering the development of communication networks and domestic and international exchanges, as well as the necessity for speed and simplicity in contracts and deals, preserving the authenticity of records and their crucial role in all aspects of human life is essential Authorities must establish special laws and regulations to bring security to individuals, corporations and organizations. This paper aims to briefly review forgery of records and documents in the history, regulations and laws of Iran. It first studies the general concept of records and different types of forgery and then goes on to -consider the basis and penalties for the crime of forgery, related problems and spiritual aspects of this crime. It finally Proposes solutions for decreasing and ultimately preventing forgery.
