This paper has attempted to study learning organization characteristics, based on sengeʹs original learning organization model in Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting organization in order to provide, an applicable pattern learning organization, to consider sengʹs disciplines, namely, personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning and systems thinking.
The methodology was descriptive-survey-and research tool was questionnaire which was carry out among employees and managers who was selected as sample. In order to analyse the collected data, descriptive and deductive statistics was used.
Findings showed that the organization is fairly far from an effective learning organization. Morover, it seems that employeesʹ performance in team learning and changes in mental models are more satisfactory than managers. Regarding other characteristics of learning organizations, there are similarites in learning attempts by employees and managers.
According to analyses findings and theoretical issues to lead the organization into a suitable situation and decrease the distance, to effective situation and reinforcement of skills, an applicable pattern and executive advises in this field are suggested.
