Water in Persian and Indian Myths

s appear in the figure of a woman or a cow, and a dragon (Symbol of drought) imprisons them and prevents the nature from being productive; then a hero kills the dragon. Based on the role of water in ancient Persian mythology, the present article tries to compare Persian myths, Zahhak, Goshtasb and Esfandiyar, with Indian myths, Ramayana and Indira, with regards to the story mentioned above.
