چكيده لاتين :
This study was conducted on 80, 3-5 years old mix breed dogs suspected of Dirofilariasis in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Islamic Azad University of Tabriz and vileges around Tabriz. Direct method and the modified knottʹs method were used for diagnosis of the parasitic microfilaria. Liver parameters including Protein, Albumin, Globulin, Glucose, Billirubin (total, direct, indirect), Alkaline phosphatas(ALP), Aspartateamino transferase (AST), Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were determined.
This results of this study indicated that 20 of the 80 dogs examined were infected by Dirofilaria immitis micro filer and the prevalence of Dirofilariasis in this study was 25%. The mean levels of Protein, Globulin, Billirubin (total, direct, indirect), ALP, AST and ALT in infected dog were increases significantly in comparison to the un¬infected dogs and the mean levels of albumin in infected dogs was decrease significantly comparison to healthy dogs. The mean level of Glucose did not show any significant differences. The results show that this parasite can be caused side effect in different organs especially liver, so it must be attentioned to liver parameters changes in diagnosis and treatments. Vet.
