In this study, some samples of animal food were gathered randomly from animal-husbandries and animal food producers from suburbs of Tehran. These samples were immediately sent to mycology lab, and then they were prepared for detection of fungi on Sabour glucose, Rose bangal and Chapex agars. Analysis of fungi was done by slide-culture, detection of morphology and culturing on special agar for each fungus. Aspergillus, Penicillium, Althernaria, Fusarium, eotricum, Cladosporium, Acrimunium, and Yeast were separated from the samples. Though mold were seen only on the stale dried bread and beetroot grounds samples which were gathered from some animal-husbandries. The results showed that the frequency of Aspergillus and Penicillium, were the highest in the separated fungi, which was 51(26/8%).While the frequency of Geotricum, the least in samples, was 6 (4/2%). The maximum extracted fungi were observed in the concentrate (22 isolate) and stale dried bread (8 isolate) and oat (10 isolate ) and the minimum separated fungi were seen in corn ( 8 isolate). Regarding the crucial existence of toxin producer fungi, Penicillium,Fusarium and Aspergillus, in the studied samples,controlling toxigenic fungi contamination in these animal food rations is very important.
