Factors Affecting the Police Investigation Effectiveness

In general, police investigations is concerned with the identification and conviction of criminals through gathering documents and evidence and the collection and presentation of evidence and testimony that lead to their arrest. Police investigation process includes five primary activities: problem finding and problem solving, solution choice, solution execution, and control and evaluation. In this article the factors affecting the police investigation effectiveness are investigated, police investigation success is the extent in which each of these five primary activities of police work is achieved effectively . police investigation effectiveness is the success of police investigation unit in understanding problems, finding investigation outlooks, choosing an optimal investigation outlook, implementing the optimal investigation outlook, and solving the problem. Result of this study indicated that Factors affecting the police investigation effectiveness are: Information technology, knowledge management, professional culture, and leadership roles.
