Hearing loss is a very important problem in preschool children. It is necessary to identify and treat them them As Soon as possible.This screening did on 7738 preschool children In 1376 78 in Mashhad. In the initial exami-nations 3223 children (42/947.) could not answered efficiency to frequencies between 20-30 dB. In the second stage an Audiologist examined disable children. After this examination 1875 (56.47.) children passed and 1448(43.67) of them referred to the ENT specialist.7738 preschool children examined for hearing loss screening in Mashhad. After early exami-nations, 1448 children referred to ENT specialist. The ENT specialist realized 894 children had hearing loss (11/57 of 7738 children). In this group of children, 681 children (76/.) had conductive hearing loss, 177(19.7/.) children had sensory neural hearing loss and 36 children (4.3*/.) had mixed hearing loss.Although the hearing loss is most common in high age, but there is a significant rate of hear¬ing loss in children. Early diagnosis and on time treatment of hearing loss can prevent of hearing complications in children.
