Evaluation of Recombinant HBS Ag Vaccine Immunity in Students of Medicine and the staffs, Vaccinated in Borujerd Hospital, 2004-2005

Hepatitis B is a disseminated liver inflammation from HBV that causes diseases leading to a large number of deaths. Regarding the fact that some of the vaccinated people are non responder (MR), evaluation of immunity in the vaccinated ones and the idenThe rate of immunity in this study was 92% which is accordant with most of the previous studies. Regarding these results, the vaccinated people are recommended to evaluate their HBS Ab level.tification of NR, especially in the high risk group is necessary.In this descriptive study blood samples of all vaccinated medical students of Borujerd Azad university at the age of 18-25 and the vaccinated personnel of Borujerd Shariaty Hospital were tested foAFour percents of the samples were immune with the duration of less than one month after vaccination. 85% of them had received two vaccines.bout 92% of the samples had protective immunity and 8% were NR. Eight percent of the immune group had more than 1000 miu/ml of antibody titer, while 17.2% of them were found to have 500 to 1000 and the other 74.8% had 10 to 500. About 75% of the immune samples had received two vaccines. In the NR group 53% had received three vaccines and the other 47% had received two vaccines.r anti HBS-Ab level, using ELISA method with Radim kit (cat.KHB31). The results were analyzed according to the number of vaccines received by the participants, the duration of vaccination and demographic criteria by using descriptive and analytical statis¬tics.
