Social structure of security; Iranʹs case study

Among turning points within the route of security studies development, one can point to the traditional dialog in terms of separating security from social background influence by positivistic doctrines because of which societal security become topical. It is from this viewpoint that a modern outlook is introduced to security analysts, wherein social constituents have a prominent role in formation, establishment and persistence of security. It is in this outlook that various analytical paradigms - proportionate with social circumstances of every society - appear for analyzing and designing security strategy. Based on this, existence of a single paradigm, which enjoys a comprehensive interpretative, analytical and prescriptive capability for all the political units, is under question and people doubt about it. In fact, the good result of adopting a societal approach to security, leads to creation of an opportunity for conducting indigenous studies in the realm of security (both domestic and foreign which is in analysts and authors mind who are familiar with security studies.In the present article, while analyzing the new dialog in the domestic security discussion the author gas through its indigenous reconstruction in the framework of the social origins, fundamentals and principles of Iranian society and makes efforts to draw and offer the societal structure for security proportionate with the Islamic Republic of Iranʹs particular circumstances. To fulfill this, first of all, the idea of the «structure of societal security» is raised and analyzed. In the second part of the paper relying on the constitution law, 2025 outlook document and Iranʹs political culture, the idea is reconstructed and offered through Iranian interpretation.
