The present research is among the Para-analytical researches conducted on theft. In fact, one refers to courts and police statistics to get to know about theft status in communities; however, the number of theft cases in communities is beyond the formal cases recorded. The primary aim of the present research is conducting a Para-analysis concerning the studies conducted on theft to identify the most important factors affecting theft as a crime. Finally, through utilizing the offered recommendations and combining them, it tries to offer a comprehensive solution for theft. First of all, the theoretical research framework on theft is categorized in order to initiate discussion. Among researches conducted 12.5% did not have a theoretical framework, but 87.5% had a theoretical framework. With respect to the findings of the research, pressure theory and marking theory and visible recognition theory have had the most and the least use, respectively. Chief among the factors effective in theft are messy family, weak social control, social disorder, unemployment, low income and disreputable friends. With respect to excess use of pressure theory and social conflict, the issue of theft is not an unexpected issue. In terms of methodology, 75 percent have had solutions, which are categorized in three levels: economic, family and executive factors, and legal. In fact, in economic level there are some solutions which aim at enhancing parentsʹ awareness level on children training, manner of supervising their activities, and the type of teenagersʹ relationship with their friends. In this way, it recalls establishing firm relationship between children and their parents. On the other hand, in executive legal level, solutions used merely by police and judiciary agents. They struggle to prevent undesirable consequences of the phenomenon through establishing bodies such as social work all over prisons. Meanwhile, these recommenda-tions implicitly refer to the weak performance of police forces. It is worth mentioning that while criticizing these recommendations, priority should be given to creating job opportunities for the youth due to its importance. The second recommendation is related to the executive legal level which is in lower level in terms of executive capability. Therefore, measures should be taken deliberately to be secure and not to be affected by these recommendations. Finally, family factors are of importance.
After all, some recommendations can be offered to prevent the issue with respect to the conducted Para-analysis as follows:
1) Creating more job opportunities and reducing unemployment;
2) Accentuating villagesʹ development and advancement and awarding more welfare facilities;
3) Training parents on how to train the youth and maintain their relationship with their families;
4) Providing desirable conditions for those who have freed from prison to speed up their absorption process by the society; and
5) Desirable policy making to reduce addiction among the youth which is the source of leading them to commit theft.
In fact, the above-mentioned cases are among the most important existing recommendations for solving theft problem.
