چكيده لاتين :
The present study investigates the factors affecting the practice of daily prayers and increase of religious knowledge among female high school students. The statistical population consisted of two groups: teacher, and students of Shiraz high schools. Using random sampling method, 100 subjects were selected from each of the two groups. The research instrument was a researcher designed questionnaire consisting of 37 items with reliability coefficient of 0.935. The main variables were ordered in five categories, namely 1) school factors, 2) social and cultural factors, 3) family factors, 4) religious and 5) personal factors. The statistical procedures were both descriptive and inferential, using T. test for analyzing the data. The results of the study indicated that all of the five factors were effective in raising studentsʹ interests in prayer and religious knowledge. Teachers, however, had stronger attitudes than students.
