Presentation of a model for Strategic Management In Islamic Azad University of Iran

This survey research was executed to present a strategic management model in Azad Islamic Universities of Iran. Statistical population for this study included all managers and full-time academic staff whose field of study was management, during academic year (1386-1387) in Islamic Azad University of Iran. The sample population was calculated 181 personnel according to Morgan table. The data required was collected by a self-designed questionnaire. Data was calculated by factor analysis, variance analysis and T-test. A model was designed through data analysis. The main factors and the charges of the main and secondary ones were calculated by virtue of the operational charge and the entrance order of the main factors into the model in order to design the strategic management model. Having formulated strategies and tactics appropriate to each strategy the model was presented by virtue of the situation definition and the direction towards ideal situation in a manner that the elected tactics are to confront with threats and opportunities from occasions and reinforce strengths and weaknesses in internal and external environments. The findings showed that the six main and 28 secondary factors of the model were certified with proportionality degree of 88.64 and accepted by academic staff and university managers.
