Without any doubt there is direct relationship between the accuracy and certitude of a social idea and the efficiency and capability of the social system based on it in fulfilling the demands and solving the problems it faces. Hence the defense of a sublime idea and a firm political system is possible only when that idea or system or its executives practically prove their accuracy, capability or efficiency. The Islamic Republican system, as the practical outcome of the Islamic Revolution, is not an exception.
The main focus of the present article is to study the efficiency of the Islamic Republican system and that of its executive in the light of the decline in the oil incomes by 10 times compared to the pre-revolution era. Relying on international figures given by such organizations as the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, World Health Organization, ISI, and UNESCO as well as those given by the domestic organizations, the development of Iran in the post-revolution era compared to that of pre-revolution and compared with the neighboring countries and other similar countries will be analyzed. Hence the economic, social, health, cultural, scientific, and agricultural aspects will be studied. Attempts will be made to shed light on some ambiguities including the decline of the value of national currency, decline in the rate of social welfare, and increase in the population growth rate etc.
