Pars Sea and Quranic Interpretations

Interpretations of the holy Quran, along with historical and geographic references have cited the name of Pars Sea from the onset of Islam. This is a confirmation of the fact that historically the sea belongs to Iran. The mention of the name in Quranic interpretations not only acts as a historical document, but also attaches to it a kind of holy and paradisiacal aspect. The fate of the sea is interwoven with the holy book throughout the world. It is not the object of study for historians and geographers only but a point of reflection for all Muslims To enumerate just a few, four Quranic verses are cited below: Verse 60, Kahf sura/ verse 63, Ashoʹara sura/ verse 61, Naml sura and verse 19, Arrahman sura. The author stresses the religion/spiritual importance of the fact and believes that the name Pars Sea shall glow under the eternal and perpetual shadow of Quran.
