The Role of Political Elite and Political Institutions in Enhancing Reza Khanʹs Power

In this article, the writer studies the political and social atmosphere of post-Constitution period, especially in the period between 1299 and 1304, to show the grounds for taking power by Reza Khan. She studies the performances of the 4th and 5th National Parliaments to show their role in enacting the legal procedures of Reza Khanʹs acceding to power. She also studies the orientations and general contents of the periodicals published in this period to explain the role of the press in theorizing enlightened dictatorship and preparing the ground for a dictatorial and colonialist government.
