The model of Ashura uprising

The present article is seeking to answer the following questions: "Which type of sociopolitical evolution does Imam Husseinʹs uprising belong to?" and "Which models of revolutionary, reformist, defensive,...evolutions is it consistent with?" The writer investigates and reviews different theories of "revolution", "reform", "duty-orientation", "devotion", "defense", and "revealing" action, and studies the conditions of the uprising with a historical-political approach based on authentic sources. Then he discusses the reasons, the fashion and the nature of this movement, theorizing through an evaluation of it based on political notions of "revolution", "reform", "riot", and "movement", and establishes a special model based on political thought of Islam and its theological basis in terms of the duties and missions of leadership and Imamate in Shia culture. Finally, he presents a synthetic theory and model based on historical evidences and sayings by the leader of this movement, Imam Hussein bin Ali (PBUH), to introduce the model of political uprising in the realm of religious thought.
