The Theoretical Bases of Affirmative and Negative Approaches to Cultural Engineering in Iran after the Islamic Revolution

The present article investigates and explains the theoretical bases of two approaches, i.e. affirmative and negative, to cultural engineering in Iran after revolution; in this regard, theoretical bases of two approaches to cultural engineering have been studied. The results show that these two approaches are basically different as to the definition they present for culture and cultural engineering, human, the role of the state in the sphere of culture, and the consequences of the stateʹs interference in cultural engineering of the society.
