A comparative study of the Velayat-e-Faghih Theory And Farabyʹs Political Thought

One of the most controversial theories introduced by Muslim intellectuals is the theory of Velayat-e-Faghih. It has been set in the works of the Shiite scholars, however, there are some theories put forth by Muslim theologists and philosophers which are rooted in those ideas. Comparing the Shiite jurisprudentsʹ ideas about the government and the Muslim communityʹs management in the absence of the twelfth Imam with Farabiʹs political philosophy, this study intends to indicate that Farabiʹs theory has a lot in common with the theory of the primacy of the top spiritual leader and through this, it comes to an important conclusion that not only does the primacy of the top spiritual leader have the narrative and acceptable bases but it is also conceived of having both philosophical and logical bases.
