The Critical Evaluation of the Article "Exceptionism in the Identity of Iranʹs Civilization Space

Climatical varieties of the Iran Plateau in relation to more than 18 degrees latitudinal expansion and its altitudinal contrarieties from about 26 m bellow sea level to well above 4000 m (above sea level) in mountainous areas along with climatic changes during the glacial and post-glacial periods make the study of the evolution trend of human communities in this land more challenging. An important argument on this issue is related to characteristics of human settlements during these periods in this area. The summary of most theories about such an issue indicates that the modern rural and urban civilizations (marked by writing materials plus scientific, economic and artistic outputs) had developed around the lakes or rivers after the last cold period. Such civilizations have not occurred during the colder (say glacial) ages. This study is trying to review and criticize some aspects raised from the article by Ramesht and Babajamali (Specialism in Iran ʹs civil identification, Geography and Environmental Studies, V.1, 1388).
