One of the assumptions and fundamentals in the field of religions is that of understanding documents and resources of religion. In the initial classification, the sources of religion can be divided into proven and proved sources. The proven source of religion is only God and his will and volition, but the proved and discovered source, through which Godʹs volition and providence will get discovered, are of different types. In classification, religionʹs proved sources and evidences are of two types: internal and external.
By internal sources and documents we mean reason, and by external documents, we mean Quran and the Practice of the Prophet. These are, in fact, sources and documents of Islam through which divine will can be reached and the will of God belonging to it can be discovered.Quran, the divine book of Sharia law, is an external source to the understanding of religion that God has revealed for human conduct. An important and fundamental issue here is whether Quran is gotten from revelation or from understanding and spiritual experience of the Prophet himself? If itʹs from revelation, is just the content of the Quran or both the text and content from revelation? Is revelation a personal experience? These are questions this paper has tried to answer. From a correct viewpoint, first, both the text and content of Quran are revelatory; Second, Quran, the divine revelation, is something other than the religious or Prophetic experience. Hence we try to discuss different perspectives of scholars in this area, and specify the correct idea.
