The Relationship between Organizational Structure and Job Stress

هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسي رابطه¬ي بين ادراك معلمان از ساختار سازماني با سطح استرس شغلي آنان در مدارس متوسطه‌ي شهر اصفهان بود. پژوهش به روش توصيفي- همبستگي انجام شده است. جامعه‌ي آماري پژوهش كليه دبيران شاغل به تدريس در مدارس متوسطه شهر اصفهان به تعداد3856نفر بوده اند.. حجم نمونه356نفر برآورد گرديد و به صورت شيوه نمونه‌گيري تصادفي چندمرحله‌اي متناسب با حجم انتخاب شد.براي گردآوري داده‌ها از دو پرسشنامه‌ي ساختار سازماني مركب از سه مولفه پيچيدگي، رسميت وتمركز و پرسشنامه‌ي استرس شغلي استاندارد تعديل يافته كرياكو وساتكليف(1987) استفاده گرديده است. پايايي پرسشنامه‌ها به ترتيب مطابق با ضريب آلفاي كرانباخ94/0و90/0محاسبه شد. داده‌هاي گردآوري شده بااستفاده از ضريب همبستگي پيرسون ورگرسيون گام به گام استفاده گرديد.يافته‌هاي پژوهش نشان داد كه بين دو بعد رسميت و پيچيدگي در ساختار سازماني مدارس، با استرس شغلي دبيران رابطه وجود دارد.اما بين تمركز درساختار سازماني مدارس با استرس شغلي دبيران رابطه معناداري وجود ندارد. نتايج حاصل از رگرسيون گام به گام نشان داد كه رسميت، تمركز، پيچيدگي به ترتيب پيش‌بيني‌كننده‌هاي معناداري براي استرس شغلي هستند.

The current survey investigates the relationship between school organizational structure and job stress among Esfahan high school teachers in the academic year of 2009-2010. The research method was a descriptive-correlative survey and the statistical population consisted of 3856 teachers of which 356 teachers were selected as the sample population, using multistage random sampling method. The research instruments were two questionnaires. The first one was the organizational structure questionnaire that evaluated the three dimensions of complexity, formality and centralization and the second one was the modified standard job stress questionnaire by Kyriacou and Sutcliff (1978). The Content validity of the questionnaires were approved by experts. The reliability of the questionnaires proved to be 0.94 and 0.90 respectively. The obtained data was analyzed both through descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation test, step-by-step regression analysis,). The findings revealed that there was a relationship between teachersʹ job stress and school organizational structure. Additionally, there was a relationship between teachersʹ job stress and the first two dimensions, formality and complexity in school organizational structure. However, no significant relationship was observed between the third dimension, centralization in school organizational structure, and teachersʹ job stress. Findings obtained by the multiple regression analysis indicated that formality, centralization and complexity were respectively the best predictors of job stress.
