سرطان پستان در ايران: روند پژوهش‌هاي محققان ايراني در پايگاه مدلاين

Breast cancer in Iran: Iranian scientists approach to breast cancer researches in Medline database

مقدمه: شيوع بالاي سرطان پستان در سنين پايين در ايران و مشكلات ناشي از اين بيماري براي خانواده‌ها لزوم بررسي تحقيقات انجام شده در اين زمينه را بديهي مي‌سازد. تحقيق حاضر با هدف تعيين ميزان توليدات علمي ايران در زمينه سرطان پستان و مقايسه آن با ساير كشورهاي خاورميانه صورت گرفته است. روش بررسي: پژوهش حاضر Systematic Reviewمي‌باشد و به‌كمك شاخص‌هاي علم‌سنجي، توليدات علمي ايران در زمينه سرطان پستان را در پايگاه مدلاين طي سال‌هاي 2008-1965 مورد بررسي قرار داده است. توليدات علمي از طريق جستجو در مدلاين با يك استراتژي تركيبي كه شامل استفاده از كليدواژه MeSH و همچنين كليدواژه‌هاي پيشنهادي متخصص موضوعي(پزشك) بود، بازيابي شد و اطلاعات به چك‌ليستي كه در نرم‌افزار Excel طراحي شده بود، منتقل شد و مورد بررسي قرار گرفت. يافته‌ها: ايران، در بازه زماني مورد بررسي، 114 مدرك علمي در زمينه سرطان پستان داشته ‌است كه بيشترين ميزان در حوزه فرعي اپيدميولوژي با ميزان6/38% بوده و پس از آن دو حوزه پژوهش‌هاي مولكولي پايه و باليني قرار دارد. ميانگين مشاركت بين پژوهشگران ايراني 67/4 نفر به ازاي هر مقاله مي‌باشد. حدود 70% از مقالات ايراني در ژورنال‌هاي داراي Impact Factor از 396/0 تا 684/5 منتشر شده‌اند. از ميان ژورنال‌هايي كه مقالات ايراني را منتشر كرده‌اند، Breast Cancer Research and Treatment بالاترين Impact Factor را دارد. بيشترين تعداد مقالات ايراني در دو كشور آمريكا و انگلستان به چاپ رسيده است. نتيجه‌گيري: توليدات علمي ايران در زمينه سرطان پستان در بازه مورد بررسي به‌ويژه در سال‌هاي 2001 به بعد به‌صورت خطي افزايش داشته است.

Background: The high prevalence of Breast Cancer especially in Iranian young women led our study to survey on Iranian scientists researching field related to Breast Cancer. The purpose of current study is to analyze and visualize the trend of scientific output in the field of Breast Cancer research in Iran. Materials and Methods: Using the mixed-methods of Bibliometric analysis and systematic review we extracted all Iranian publications in the field of breast cancer from Medline through 1965-2008. All row data was extracted based on the MeSH thesaurus and In order to make more comprehensive the result of data retrieving, we made a new method of search strategy. Results: A total number of 114 articles published by Iranian authors were found. "Epidemiology and related issues" was the most popular subject area investigated by Iranian scientists. Molecular based researches were in second and clinical related issues were in third condition. The mean value of coauthor of papers was 4.67. About 70% of Iranian publications in this field were published in journals with Impact Factor between 0.396 and 5.684. Breast Cancer Research and Treatment was the high-impact journal that published Iranian publications. The United state and England were the most prolific countries that published Iranian publications in this field. Conclusion: The study indicated the number of publications in the field of Breast Cancer in Medline emanated by Iranian scientists has been increased exponentially through the period of study especially after 2001.
