ديدگاه والدين درباره‌ي انجام درمان‌هاي دندانپزشكي تحت بيهوشي عمومي در كودكان 1تا3 ساله شهر اصفهان

Evaluation of Parental View toward Dental Treatment under General Anesthesia in Isfahan

زمينه و هدف: ديدگاه والدين در مورد روش درمان كودك يكي از مهم‌ترين فاكتورهاي درمان مي‌باشد. هدف اين مطالعه تعيين ديدگاه والدين درباره‌ي انجام درمان دندانپزشكي تحت بيهوشي عمومي ‌بود. روش بررسي: شركت كنندگان در اين مطالعه‌ي مقطعي توصيفي تحليلي، از ميان والدين كودكاني كه تحت درمان دندانپزشكي تحت بي هوشي عمومي در بيمارستان‌هاي شهر اصفهان در سال 87 قرار گرفته بودند، انتخاب شدند. دو پرسشنامه شامل گزينه‌هايي در مورد ميزان رضايت والدين نسبت به درمان تحت بي‌هوشي عمومي و دلايل انجام درمان دندانپزشكي تحت بي‌هوشي عمومي طي مصاحبه‌اي حضوري تكميل گرديد. از آزمون كاي دو و Correlation براي سنجش آماري آن‌ها استفاده شد. يافته‌ها: رضايت كلي بيش از 80 درصد والدين از درمان بالاتر از حد متوسط بود. توصيه‌ي پزشك با بيش از 70 درصد بيشترين عامل انتخاب اين روش درماني بود. بيش از 45 درصد والدين عدم ترس كودك را عمده‌ترين مزيت اين درمان در مقايسه با درمان در مطب عنوان كردند، تجربه‌ي درد زياد و انتقال ترس از اطرافيان هم از علل اصلي ترس كودك از درمان داخل مطب، از نظر والدين بوده است. نتيجه‌گيري: از آنجايي كه در مطالعه‌ي حاضر ديدگاه اكثر والدين در مورد درمان‌هاي انجام شده تحت بي‌هوشي مثبت بود با آگاهي‌رساني كافي در سطح جامعه نسبت به وجود چنين گزينه‌ي درماني، مي‌توان شاهد بهبود وضعيت بهداشت دهان و دندان كودكان و بهبود عملكرد سيستم دهاني و دنداني آن‌ها بود.

Background and Objective: The rate of parental attitude and view toward the treatment modality of child is the one of the most important factors of the treatment. The aim of this study was the evaluation of parental view and attitude toward dental treatment under general anesthesia. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive cross sectional study, the participants, were parents whose children had recently undergone dental treatment under general anesthesia. The parents were given two self-administered questionnaire inquiring about their reasons and view toward the dental treatment under general anesthesia. Statistical analysis was performed by using Mann Whitney, Crosstab and Correlation tests. Results: Our results showed that more than 80% of parents have moderate to high satisfaction about practice. Dentistʹs refer was the first reason for this treatment modality followed by relatives recommendation. More than 45% of parents indicated that lack of child fear was the most important advantage of this type of treatment. From parentʹs point of view previous sever pain experience and fear that transferred from relatives were the most important reason for childʹs fear from dental treatment. Conclusion: According to these results; most of parents satisfied with their childʹs dental treatment under general anesthesia, so promotion of social knowledge about dental treatment under general anesthesia could improve childrenʹs dental care and oral hygiene.
