This research aimed to determine "the activities carried out to enhance study motivation in the culture and arts centers of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults" from the viewpoint of the educators. It did so by studying the opinions of the educators of centers of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Tehran from April to July 2008. Results of this descriptive-survey showed that: 73.2 percent of the educa¬tors believe that carrying out common cultural activities has the greatest effect on motivating the children and teenagers to study. Art activities and literary activities are respectively rated as the second (37.5 percent) and third (27.7 percent) most effective activities for motivating children to study. From the viewpoint of educators, those in the "A" age group are very much interested in special art activities. The "B" age group is very keen on common cultural activities and special art and Islamic activities. Those who fall in the "C" age group are the most interested group in cultural, literary, scientific, and Islamic activities in comparison to other groups. Those in the "D" group are interested in special literary and scientific activities more than art, cultural, and Islamic activities.
